Community First Cooperative Credit Union remains committed to the financial wellbeing of its members and the economic development of Antigua and Barbuda. In response to claims concerning the Willy D Project in Freeman’s Village, CFCCU wishes to clarify its support for the development and the steps taken to protect members’ interests.

The project was supported to expand access to homeownership, helping members move from renting to owning homes while generating employment for contractors, suppliers and service providers.

CFCCU acknowledges concerns raised by some members and has engaged the vendor to address them. Following a review in January 2025, the Credit Union paused all new projects under the vendor’s portfolio until outstanding issues are resolved. CFCCU will continue monitoring the matter and advocating for solutions grounded in accountability and transparency.
