Community First Plants the Seeds for a Greener Future at Antigua Grammar School

Community First Cooperative Credit Union marked Arbor Day by planting fruit trees at Antigua Grammar School on December 4, 2024. The project supports CFCCU’s commitment to environmental stewardship, education and community development.

Working with the Department of Environment and the school, the team planted mango, avocado and guava trees. The trees will provide shade, improve air quality and eventually produce fresh fruit for the school community.

Students participated in the planting and learned about tree care, biodiversity, food security and the role of trees in addressing climate change. The initiative will serve as a lasting reminder of the importance of caring for Antigua and Barbuda’s environment.
